This update includes bug fixes and performance improvements along with continued accessibility enhancements and improvements for the low vision community.
The big news in this release is that mySafetyNet now has a “What’s Near Me” feature!
“What’s Near Me” adds another layer to our list of accessibility friendly personal safety features to aid you in being aware of your surroundings and guiding you to a desired location.
From the Main Menu or Voice Control menu:
* Simply tap/say “What’s Near Me” to easily find any location that is near you by category such as: gas station, hospitals, restaurants.
* You can choose to search for a location by typing on your phone’s keypad or for the low vision community, you can search by voice recognition.
* From the Voiceover friendly search results, you can elect to call a chosen location, access the location’s website or get GPS directions.
